TESTING SERVICES
Orientation Tests
The College conducts a range of tests for incoming freshmen, and for School of Nursing students prior to their acceptance to the clinical program.
Aptitude Tests
1. Incoming freshmen are required to take a standardized aptitude test to determine their preparation for College and suitability.

Transfer students may also be asked to take the complete aptitude tests, particularly for those taking the Accountancy, Computer, Education, Nursing or Theology program.

The Nursing Aptitude Test (NAT) is given to Levels I and II students prior to their ac-ceptance to the clinical program.
Qualifying Examinations

Any transfer student from a non-SDA college who received a grade of less than “B” in Nursing Chemistry (or its equivalent course) but higher than “C-” and who wishes to have the credit recognized must take a qualifying examination. Should he/she receive a grade of 70% or higher on the qualifying exam, the student’s transfer grade will be ac-cepted for credit.

Any transfer student from a non-SDA college who received a grade of less than “B” in College Algebra (or its equivalent course) but higher than “D” and who wishes to have the grade credited must have a grade of 70% or higher on the qualifying examination.

Any transfer student who received a grade of “B” or higher in Nursing Chemistry or College Algebra will have the grade and honor credited regardless of the school previ-ously attended.
