B.4. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

 

Central Philippine Adventist College also grants academic excellence scholarship of 100% free tuition and 50% free tuition to any student who obtains a grade point average of 3.8 and above and 3.6 and above, respectively, during the previous semester. The stu-dent may file an application with forms classes begun. This grant should not apply to any student who is already under one scholarship grant. In the event that one falls under this category, he has to choose which-ever is higher in value.

 

C. REFUNDS AND CHARGES FOR WITHDRAWALS

 

Refunds are made according to the provisions of Section 66 of the Manual of Regulation for Private Schools, 8th Ed., (1992), which states that:

 

“A student who transfers or otherwise withdraws, in writing, within two weeks after the beginning of classes and who has already paid the pertinent tuition and other school fees in full or for any length of time longer than one month, may be charged ten percent of the total amount due for the term if

hewithdrawswithinthefirstweekofclasses,ortwentypercentifhewithdrawswithinthesecond weekofclassesHowever,.ifthetransferorwithdrawalisduetojustifiablereason,thestudentshall be charged pertinent fees only up to 20% and including the last month of attendance.

 

In order to be certain that charges and credits have been recorded on an account, the college reserves the right to withhold payment of the credit balance until the student shall have received a clearance from all college departments/services.

 

E. LATE REGISTRATION FEE

 

Any student who enrolls after the deadline for registration shall be required to pay late registration fee of P1,000.00.

 

 

 

F. STUDENTS WITH EDUCATIONAL AID

 

A student whose parents are denominational w shall pay 50% of his personal share upon enrollment. All accounts must be settled one month

 

before the end of the semester.

 

G. ACCEPTANCE FEE FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

 

Any foreign student is required to pay an acceptance fee of $500.00 upon enrolment and another $500.00 during the second semester.

 

H.TRANSFER OF FOREIGN STUDENTS

 

TheAdventist educational system believesThisin t training is not only geared toward polishing their character and developing patience and persever-

 

ance in life but is a means to enable them to obtain quality Christian education and prepare them to become useful and productive citizens despite being deprived of some necessities in life. Central Philippine Adventist College has therefore, embedded in its educational system the student labor scholarship program. Students who are interested to learn and earn for their education may apply for work in the different departments thru the Business Manager. Student labor shall be covered by the following guidelines:

 

1)Work begins when a labor contract has b beginning of the semester.

 

  1. Labor will not be computed unless a Business office.

 

  1. A labor report shall be accomplished and approved by the supervisor and submitted to the business office weekly.

 

  1. Student labor earnings shall be applied to the student’s tuition fee and other academic fees only.

 

5)The transfer of a student worker from one department to another department during the semester is not allowed.

 

  1. A recommendation from the previous supervisor is required when transferring from one department to another during the ensuing semester.
