IS4122 SYSYTEM ANALYSIS AND DESIGN 3 UNITS
This course is a study of the different phase of information systems development Discussions will concentrate on the initiation, analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of a system and the different tools used in systems analysis and design. This course strikes a balance between the theoretical  and  applied aspects of system analysis, presenting state of the-art system procedures, methodology and software. These skills are applied by allowing the students to experience analyzing and designing“live” systems for an out include models for decision makingside client. Prerequisite Introduction to computer Programming.


IS3121 DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM 3 UNITS
Database management has involved from a specialized computer application to a central component of a modern computing environment. As such, knowledge about database system has become an essential part of an education in computer science. This course is intended to present the fundamental concept of database management. These concepts include aspects of database design, database languages, and database system implication.


IS3130 EXPERT SYSTEM 3 UNITS
Concepts and types of managerial decision support system. Topics include models for decision making applied database, and applications of artificial intelligence. Knowledge representation, knowledge acquisition, and the development of expert systems are taught through cases and a project. Use of commercially available software packages will also be explored.


IS4240 E-COMMERCE 3 UINITS
This course discusses how the World Wide Web and electronic commerce are transforming marketing practices in business-to business and business-to-consumer arenas. In business-to-business marketing, we can examine the different revenue based and user-based Web business models, and e-commerce as the direct marketing model. On the business-to-consumer marketing side, the characteristics of the online consumer, virtual communities, online support, and service and quality, will be discussed.


IS4230 SYSTEM MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION 3 UNITS
The objects of this course are to provide student with an understanding and appreciation of how to manage systems in an environment employing multiple network operating systems. This course covers topics ranging from troubleshooting server management, and internetworking, to physical network design, configuration strategies, and implementing TCP/IP protocols. Student gain hands-on experience with the administration of a mixed Linux, NetWare, and Windows 2000 network through laboratory exercises.


IS4220 MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM 3 UNITS
This course addresses management from the perspective of an I.T. expert. It focuses on improving MIS organization’s effectiveness through a systematic set of strategic goals, plans and actions. It includes a discussion of concepts and stricture of MIS and information system technologies. To complement this, there is a discussion-making business policies and strategic management. Finally, it integrates the decision-making process and business ethics in coming up with appropriate information system strategy. Prerequisite System   Analysis and Design.


OJT4350 OJT/INTERNSHIP 3 UNITS
This is practicum course that covers actual system work related to, directly or indirectly, the field of information technology. The course allows the students exposure to an integration of all aspects of the information technology discipline through a synergistic partnership with the computing industry. This will also expose student to seminars and fieldtrips.
