Also covered are fundamental programming principles, including the development, analysis, and debugging of programs, Topics also include assurance, and program documentation using Visual Basic. Prerequisite: Introduction information technology Concept

IS2110 DISCRETE MATHEMATICS 3 UNITS
This course introduces the foundations of discrete mathematics as they apply to computer science. Topics include functions, relation and set, basic logic, proof techniques, basics of counting and introduction to digital logic and digital systems.

IS2121/CPTR201 ADVANCED PROGRAMMING
This course contains the implementation of programming skills. Numeric and non-numeric problems are chosen fr0m many disciplines. It also introduces java language. Java is an object-oriented programming language widely used in developing World Wide Web applications. Topics include class declarations and definitions, graphics, thread, exceptions, and writing Web applets. Prerequisite: Introduction to computer programming.

IS2120 HUMAN-COMPUTERS INTERACTION 3 UNITS
The course intended to introduce students to the disciples concerned with the design, evaluation and implementation of various computing systems intended for human use. Emphasis will be placed on understanding human behavior with interactive objects, knowing how to develop and evaluate interactive software using a human centered approach, and general knowledge of HCI design issues with multiple types of interactive applications. Prerequisite Introduction to information Technology  Concept.

IS2230 MUTIMEDIA APPLICATION
Multimedia has become an indispensable part of modern computer technology. In this course, student will be introduced to principles and current technologies of multimedia systems and gain hands-on experience in this area. Issues in effectively representing processing, and retrieving multimedia data such as sound, music, graphics, image, and video will be addressed.

IS2231 VISUAL BASIC PROGRAMMING 3 UNITS
This course aims to teach the students the semantics, syntax, structures, implementation of visuals Basic language. It also covers the programming methodology and application development in Visual basic. Prerequisite advanced programming.

IS4121 DEPLOYMENT AND MAINTAINANCE SERVICES 3 UNITS
The course covers topics on deploying, maintaining, and servicing the information systems. It also teaches students how to develop and implement deployment, maintenance, and services to their respective customers.

IS3120 PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY ASSESTEMENT 3 UNITS
This course is designed for IM student who need to have in-depth study of project management, in the information systems arena. The systems perspective provides a useful framework for project analysis. By viewing projects as system, time, cost and quality are considered as important factors that are related to the success of the project. The topics provide an immediate working knowledge of the overall functions and behavior of an IM project manager. A project manager is continually faced with changing conditions, technology, resources, requirements and schedules. Technology only serves to complicate matters. Thus, a good project manager must not only be proficient at managing, but also retain being proficient as the technology changes. This course prepares the students to face their future first project in the real-world scenario.

IS3140 HARDWARE AND  SOFTWARE  INTALLATION AND TROUBLESHOOTING. 3 UNITS
This course gives students the opportunity to participate in a hands-on laboratory through which they will be assembling a computer from selected hardware components. This hands-on experience is a great way to get a feel for working with computers hardware and the different ways to configure a system.

IS4123 EVALUATION OF BUSINESS PERFORMANCE 3 UNITS
The course is intended to provide the student with the experience in assessing information systems and the different tools to be used in conducting systems evaluation. It will discuss topics such as data warehousing, KPI/KRA, business intelligence, and quality metrics.
